Reimburse Volunteer Scientists for Standing Up for Science!

The Stand Up for Science local San Francisco team of 11 volunteers was thrilled to see over a thousand scientists and supporters stand up for science in San Francisco on March 7, 2025! The local SF SUfS team worked tirelessly for a month to organize an amazing rally in support of science and scientists! The volunteer team recruited a dozen amazing speakers, rally call leaders, musicians and partnered with other local community and political action groups to make the rally a success. The team gave away buttons and T-shirts and stirred the crowd to action!

Unfortunately, although the local SF team had their operational funds pre-approved by the national SUfS team prior to the event, the national organizers (as a fledgling non-profit under fiscal sponsorship, that fundraised centrally to support efforts across the US) did not ultimately come through to reimburse the local team that fronted the funds to put on this amazing political action. You can help by donating whatever amount you can to reimburse the local SUfS team the outstanding $3190 (budget for AV, buttons, T-shirts and our SF permit). You can help this amazing effort end on a high note for these hard working scientist volunteers so that they can rise again to stand up for science!
