Rei Hauraki Haare

We are all saddened by the horrific injury sustained to Rei on Saturday 5th April.

Rei broke his tibia and is due to under go his operation on Sunday 6th of April.

This unfortunate injury will now impact his and his family's personal life dramatically, having two young boys and wife to support. Due to Rei not being a Uk citizen it’s a lot more complicated to get support from the government. However this young family still have a mortgage to pay, a house to run and two young lads to support. Due to Rei’s manual job he is now going to be unable to work for the foreseeable which is going to have detrimental impact.

Rei is estimated to be off work for up to 4-6 months depending on recovery time and rehabilitation.

Rei as we all know bleeds rugby, especially blue and white. A long servant of L&Y rugby club. He has been the first team captain now for several years and is a top club man.

I speak on behalf of the players and coaching team at Lowestoft and Yarmouth rugby club we are reaching out to everyone involved in the rugby community and local area to help support such a local legend. A guy who has always put rugby first and put his body on the line week in week out. Any support will be highly appreciated by Rei and his family.
