Rehabilitation for Benjamin Walton

Donation protected
I am raising money for my boyfriend, Ben Walton.
Benjamin Walton is a 16 year old boy from Driffield, who was tragically run over, meters from his front door, in the early hours of Saturday 14th March.

He was left fighting for his life in Hull Royal ICU.
Some of his injuries included a fractured spine, shattered pelvis, broken femur, internal bleeding and collapsed lungs.

On Saturday morning he was taken to theatre and a team of 30 doctors and nurses worked on Ben for 10 hours straight to save his life. We were told his injuries couldn’t be any worse and to prepare ourselves, but they were going to do their best to fix him up.

By Saturday evening, we were told they’d stopped the internal bleeding, however he was still extremely critical.

3 days after the accident, the nurses felt Ben was strong enough to come off his breathing ventilator.
He then began trying to talk!
Since then he has made new improvements every day and is proving to us all that miracles do happen!

However, the injuries he has sustained will change his life forever. The injuries will affect his quality of life going into adulthood, we want to be able to provide him with all the opportunities that he could have had before his injuries. We also hope that when the time comes for Ben to come home, we can provide a safe, adapted enviroment for him to continue his recovery in.

We are asking for any donations, no matter how small, to help put towards the rehabilitation of Ben.
