Hi, my name is Wendy Nguyen. I’m the co-founder of Asian Americans Rise.

I grew up in San Jose, CA after my parents fled Viet Nam following the war. Life was hard as immigrants, but we were met with incredible acts of kindness. Those acts taught me something simple but powerful: every person deserves dignity, and every voice deserves to be heard.

That’s why I’ve dedicated myself to building power for our community.

And we know how to do it.

In 2024, Asian Americans Rise ran the largest AAPI voter registration drive in U.S. history:
