Kookaburra School Hut was lost to the devasting bushfires in 2019.

The School Hut has been leased privately for the purpose of scouting to venture out in the bush, learning survival skills, abseiling caving and hiking.

The Hut has been a great way for youth to reconnect and have a purpose in life to continue when times are tough, for many over the years it has been a safe place to chill out and re-energise themselves.

So under insurance the hut has been replaced but is now needing refurbishing. Previously the furnishing were donations from families and friends, these were also lost to the fires.
