Refund "TRANS LIVES MATTER" Protesters for Fees

UPDATE: Thank y'all for your kind contributions! The remainder of Keylen's fine has bene covered. Alex and Colburn (the other two students arrested) have been through their court dates and were also fined $650 each. The fundraiser has been updated to reflect these costs + additional court fees. Any leftovers after reimbursing these students will be donated to Intransitive in Little Rock.

In October, three UCA students were arrested at the Conway High School Administration Building for chanting "TRANS LIVES MATTER" and resisting removal in protest of the violent, transphobic policies passed by the school board. All three students were fined $650 by the court for refusing to be removed and silenced. Here we aim to reimburse them for those unjust fines and any legal fees.

In just the last few months, the board has

- temporarily banned Celebrate Black History tshirts

- prevented Trans kids from using the correct bathrooms

- prevented Trans kids from rooming with the correct gender on school trips

- banned books about queer and Trans experiences
