There are 51 families at this hotel.  Average family size is 4 ( some single and done with 9 children). We’ve delivered to about 35 families so far. Many items are still needed. Please help!!

We're back and working with a new group of Evacuees.

This is a group of 51 families living in a long stay hotel in the DC Metro area. 

• Most have not yet received their food stamp/SNAP cards

• The hotel provides breakfast. They are responsible for all other meals

• They do not have coats, shoes, clothes

• They do not have personal hygiene items such as pads, soap, shampoo, toothbrush/paste, lotion

• They do not have food or money to buy food.

• A local charity is providing 2 days' worth of food on Fridays. They need for the remainder of the week.

Our mission here is to provide these families with clothing (coats, socks, shoes, shirts, pants, etc.) and food (water, rice, oil, tomato sauce, beans, pasta, etc.).

We cannot do it without your support.

Who we are: We’re friends working to support refugee families. Aside from the approximately 3% fee that goes to GoFundMe - 100% of the proceeds will be used to purchase registry items in addition to non-perishable foods such as rice, oil, tomato sauce, etc.

Why we’re doing this: We are very blessed with food on our tables and a roof over our heads. Our children are in school and are warm. We’d like to help those who are not so lucky. We can’t fix everything but we can help a few families at a time. In addition to this fund raiser, we’re sending the registry link and asking for contributions from our friends, family and neighbors. We believe that together we can put a bit of comfort in a family’s life.
