Help us bring indoor plumbing/ accessible water/ solutions to the Meri Safe Haus!
In Papua New Guinea (PNG) the Meri Safe Haus may be the only option for survivors of extreme,
brutal violence. Papua New Guinea is known for being one of the most dangerous countries in the
world to be a woman. Here 68% of women have experienced domestic and/or sexual abuse, rising in
the highlands to nearly 100% of wives.  

Thanks to your help, Refresh a Wounded Soul has already provided them a consistent source of
water through a sustainable water collection system. Construction is in progress and the necessary
piping in place to bring water to needed sites in the safe house.
However, the Meri Safe Haus still lacks indoor toilets, sinks, and showers. This brings challenges
when trying to cook food, clean, wash clothes, and provide drinking water and baths for large
amounts of people.

We are raising money to purchase bathroom utilities and a hand pump system to push the water
where it is needed.
