Reem Assamra's Ramadan Iftar

This is the first Ramadan my mother spends in heaven. In her name, I would like to feed the less fortunate. I posted on Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat asking for suggestions and help. I was truly overwhelmed with the influx of support. I so deeply appreciate every single one of you.  I was given so many suggestions and I wish I could feed every hungry mouth. I have chosen to go with the following idea this time around:

Thanks to Natalia Papadopoulou, we are raising funds to host an iftar on Sunday, May 27th for children from the Gaza camp in Jordan. 100 children will be brought to Dream Park (an indoor amusement park in Amman, Jordan) where they will have iftar (breaking their fast), play at Dream Park, and be sent home with food parcels for their families. 


If you choose to donate, please be sure I will see that every dime is given to a child in need. There is no shortage of hunger and strife in this world, so please know your donations will make a difference in someone's life. Thank you so, so much for making this possible.
