On March 22nd 2026, I am stepping into the boxing ring for the first time. I am doing this for a cause which is close to my heart.
I am taking part in a charity boxing match in memory of my 4 year old nephew Caleb. He passed away unexpectedly last year, the loss of Caleb has changed our family forever. I want to honour his memory in a way that brings hope and support to other children who need it most.
I am raising funds for children in care, young people who deserve safety, love, stability and most importantly a smile on their faces.
Charlotte and I are kinship carers and care for 3 of Calebs brothers. Over the past two year's we've had our eyes opened to whats involved with children in care and how limited funds are.
Last year it was reported that there was over 83,000 children in care in England and the North East have the highest rates of Children in care!
Quite often these kids are removed from their parents/ care givers, put into emergency Foster care or with family members with no notice.
These kid often turn up with nothing, just the clothes on their back!
The fostering team raise money every year for kids in care to have parties and get togethers so the kids can go wild. These kids are so brave and resilient, they deserve to have a childhood filled with happy memories. I want to contribute getting these families together and giving them a great time..Caleb did love a good party ❤️
Tickets will be on sale next year and the money raised from tickets will go towards Mind Charity. My sponsorship money will go to Redcar and Cleveland Fostering service.
I will share the link for tickets when they are on sale.
Thank you so much and let's hope I don't get battered !
