In mid-March 2020, the 3ds London committee agreed to support a charity as a way of giving support to our community, especially now, given the world-wide COVID-19 crisis.
That day, however, a moving article was published in The Independent newspaper, Coronavirus: Charities offering online support to domestic abuse victims amid concerns violence could soar.
This resonated unanimously with the committee. It's very difficult to imagine the nightmare many people are living through right now, while we are all being asked to 'Work from Home', and or stay isolated from our friends, family, coworkers and community. For most of us, it's an inconvenient disruption only. We'll make do at home and get through this 'boredom' getting back to our normal lives soon enough, unharmed.
Let's spare a thought and if you can manage, a donation, for all the charities around the world who are struggling with the rising domestic abuse cases, caused by regulations to protect us from COVID-19.
