Red Osier Guild

Hi! I'm dedicating my birthday to raise funds for Red Osier Guild.

We are a waterloo region land based collective who focuses on ecological and survival learning. The Guild has done half a dozen free community events on zero budget, entirely as volunteers. We also have produced several guides to plants, conservation, foraging, and land based safety issues like tick protocols. And what we really need is equipment and funding for programming.

With the small contributions we have already received, we have purchased a website and hosting, as well as basic and often perishable items for basic teachings - paracord, fire starting materials...

We are trying to grow to be able to do more and more, and provide free programming. Some of our plans are an active weekly learning guild that features land based learning, survival learning, ceremony and culture, and leadership development in the guild itself.

We will do it with our without funding. But being able to get some of the basics for teaching extends our abilities and builds kits for participants.

We will be using funding to purchase items from our wish lists. We are also building more and more guides which will feature field guides. We would like to publish these to sell them to raise more funds over time while we extend our knowledge to the community.
