Red Cross Christmas Food Appeal 2023

Christmas should be a time of celebration, a time for families to be together, eat some good food, give presents and relax. This is very hard or even impossible for households in financial crisis. Hidden behind closed doors there are families near you with little to look forward to this Christmas: no gifts for the children or significant others, no seasonal Christmas food to be shared.

Today in Spain thousands of people rely on emergency food aid and parents are skipping meals so their children can eat.

The Cruz Roja food bank in Fuengirola helps over 1000 local families who have been identified by social services as being in need.

For 12 years EIC have been helping some of these families, by providing them with hampers of essential food and household items.

Last year we raised just over €15000 euros between food and cash donated and helped feed over 500 families during the Christmas period.

Once again, we need your help so we can provide Christmas Hampers and food vouchers to families who are desperately in need.

100% of your money goes to those in need and this year we would like to buy Red Cross Food Vouchers that can be redeemed at Mercadona to enable those that rely on the Red Cross to be able to buy fresh produce, meat bread and vegetables.
