Queridas familias que estáis ahí fuera...

Somos Lourdes y Fran. Nuestra preciosa hijita Neelu (Nilu) acaba de nacer prematura con 7 meses (31+4 semanas de gestación).

Se ve que tenía prisa por nacer y esparcir su medicina al mundo.

Al ser tan pequeñita sus pulmones y sistemas respiratorio y digestivo aún están desarrollándose, así como su metabolismo entero. Realmente somos muy afortunados de poder tenerla con nosotros.

Ahora está intubada, necesita cirugía por un procedimiento rutinario excepcional (error médico reconocido por los propios médicos) que no salió tan bien en el hospital donde nació y le tienen que sacar un trocito de catéter de 4 cm del pulmón. Debido a la gravedad nos trasladaron a otro hospital de mayor nivel donde está bien atendida y hay profesionales más especializados.

Va a ser un camino de recuperación que aún no sabemos cuánto tiempo durará. Nadie lo sabe aún. Esperamos poder abrazarla y tenerla en nuestros brazos, piel con piel, lo antes posible y poder alimentarla con toda la entrega y dedicación.

Sabemos que los cuidados y el Amor que va a necesitar están y van a estar y llegar, de alguna manera o de otra.

Sin embargo, nuestros recursos para su recuperación son limitados por el momento y queremos ofrecerle lo mejor en terapias (quiroprácticos, osteopatía, desarrollo psicomotriz y neurológico, sistema nervioso, terapias holísticas o lo que pueda venir necesitando).

Llevo cuidando a familias y bebés durante 13 años y, si algo he ido aprendiendo estos años es en la necesidad de pedir ayuda y el poder de crear espacios de sostén y cuidados para hacer este viaje lo más hermoso y llevadero posible.

No me da vergüenza decir que ahora soy yo y mi familia los que necesitamos recibir el apoyo de la comunidad real y virtual para poder avanzar y reparar el trauma que hemos vivido y que, también, vemos como una gran gran oportunidad y bendición.

Simplemente poder agarrar la mano de nuestra hijita en la incubadora ya es mucho. Su presencia es el mayor de los regalos.

Gracias por tomaros el tiempo de leer hasta aquí y compartir la petición o donar lo que podáis. Granito a granito construimos y reparamos grandes cosas. Y solo con un buen pensamiento ya nos estáis ayudando mucho también.

Dear families and people out there..

My name is Lourdes. We've just had our beautiful daughter Neelu, who was,apparently, in a bit of a hurry to land earthside at 7 months (31+4 weeks of pregnancy).

Her state of health is delicate as her lungs and premature body are still developing. She is so strong and she has already shown us the kind of warrior that she is with just a tinny little body and, yet, the brightest Spirit.

We need support from the community.

She is going to need a non to invasive surgery tomorrow as she had a complication in the hospital (medical error admitted by the doctora) she was born that won't wrong. She needed to be transfered to a another hospital where there is the right equipment, support and surgeons for her.

No one knows how much time she would need to be at the hospital as she recovers with strengh and determination.

I'm not ashamed to tell you that we need financial support for her recovery.

We would like to offer her good therapies for her development for her first months of Life. Later, life will tell...

I've been working with lovely families and babies over the last 13 years and have seen the power and impact that the community can bring.

Now, It is my family's turn.

No one expected this happening but just holding her hands and dreaming about having her skin-to-skin soon and nursing her feels like the most amazing blessing.
