We have have lost everything that was home to us, everything we have worked extremely hard for and most importantly, the place we called home. As you could image, being a family who has moved here from El Salvador this has made everything far more difficult for us.

We were displaced due to a fire that was caused during the attempts renovations to update my apartment. My son and daughter were both home at the time and have suffered a great deal due to the traumatic experience. We have been placed in a hotel and have been informed that are no available apartments in the complex and we will not be able to be placed in "our new home" until the reconstruction of apartment is complete or something becomes available, which could take up to a year. Unfortunately, due to the severity of the fire, my apartment and five others are completely boarded up and no one has been able to retrieve anything. The longer we wait to enter, the likelihood of us not being able to retrieve anything at all is very small due to extreme smoke and water damage.

We are really struggling with obtaining our essentials, food and clothing most and toiletries most importantly. However, we would appreciate any donations you can offer us. Whether it be GoFundMe or tangible donations.

Hemos perdido todo lo que era nuestro hogar, todo por lo que habíamos trabajado muy duro y, lo más importante, el lugar al que llamábamos hogar. Como podrás imaginar, ser una familia que se mudó aquí desde El Salvador esto ha hecho que todo sea mucho más difícil para nosotros.

Fuimos desplazados debido a un incendio que se produjo durante los intentos de renovación de mi apartamento. Mi hijo y mi hija estaban en casa en ese momento y sufrieron mucho debido a la experiencia traumática. Nos han alojado en un hotel y nos han informado que no hay apartamentos disponibles en el complejo y que no podremos alojarnos en "nuestro nuevo hogar" hasta que se complete la reconstrucción del apartamento o haya algo disponible, lo que podría ocupar a un año. Desafortunadamente, debido a la gravedad del incendio, mi apartamento y otros cinco están completamente tapiados y nadie ha podido recuperar nada. Cuanto más esperemos para entrar, la probabilidad de que no podamos recuperar nada es muy pequeña debido al daño extremo del humo y el agua.

Realmente estamos luchando para obtener nuestros elementos esenciales, principalmente alimentos y ropa, y artículos de tocador, lo más importante. Sin embargo, agradeceríamos cualquier donación que nos puedan ofrecer. Ya sea GoFundMe o donaciones tangibles.
