We are friends raising funds to help Phoebe, Carmen & Pelin recover from the Main & 8th house fire that happened on the night of Wednesday, March 25th, 2026 around 8pm.

Their apartment was a 2-story apartment situated in a 3-story heritage building with two tenant units, right in the heart of Mount Pleasant, above Otto restaurant and next to Goh Ballet. Phoebe, Carmen, & Pelin are the tenants that lived in Unit 2. (There is another tenant that lived in Unit 1. We are still waiting to get the other tenant’s GFM link and will update and share here when we receive it).

Beloved family photos and memorabilia are now lost forever, and all the roommates are working class folks who now—with no home and no belongings—have to navigate the housing and affordability crisis in Vancouver.

Any amount you can donate would be deeply appreciated and received with so much gratitude! We are raising funds to help them replace their belongings, purchase essential items like clothing and toiletries, cover emergency shelter costs, pay for counselling and therapy, and supplement their income while they navigate this devastating loss.

We are hoping to raise $10k for each tenant. We also hope you consider sharing this fundraiser with at least five other people you know so we can reach the wider community.
