Hi all. My name is Abigail Ross. Recently, my Nana, Carol Connolly Ross, passed away in a house fire that has displaced many of my other family members, including her dedicated, lovely husband, Tony Ross.
My Nana was a mother of six children and Nana & Great Nana of almost thirty. She worked hard at the Bread & Roses Soup Kitchen located in Lawrence, MA for the majority of her life, ensuring that the homeless were always fed. She invited outsiders into her home on Thanksgiving to enjoy a meal that she prepared for herself and her entire family. But most of all, my Nana cared for people that were not her part of her own family on a consistent basis. Being our family’s Matriarch, she would have never wanted things end up this way for her loved ones.
I am starting this GoFundMe to raise money so that my family can not only recuperate from this tragic loss in which we have all suffered, but to also help them financially recover from this devastation that has left them homeless. My Bapa (Tony Ross), as well as my uncle, aunt, and cousin have, to reiterate, been left displaced after the fire. As we make wake and funeral arrangements for my newly deceased Nana, I request, from the bottom of my heart, that you help support us through this catastrophic and deeply saddening time in our lives.
My heart goes out to all of the people who have endured the loss of a loved one. And on behalf of the Ross family—we appreciate and greatly thank your kind spirits for donating.
