Support Aviyah and Drew as they navigate unexpected expenses for their newborn son
Dear friends and family,
We are reaching out to you today to ask for your support for our son, Aviyah, and daughter-in-law, Drew. They recently welcomed their son into the world after a traumatic childbirth that ended in an emergency c-section. Unfortunately, their struggles didn't end there, as their newborn son was transported from his birthing hospital to the children's hospital in Atlanta and they are facing medical care that requires treatments and testing.
The doctors at Children's Hospital of Atlanta at Engleston are currently working to figure out what has caused the infection to his nose that ended in surgery and tests are being performed daily. As new parents, Aviyah and Drew are already facing an incredible amount of stress and worry, and the added financial burden of unexpected medical expenses is only adding to their difficulties.
Aviyah is currently unable to work due to the physical and emotional toll of taking care of his family. His wife is trying to recover from ups and downs from her surgery , and they are facing mounting medical bills, and other expenses. We are asking for your support during this difficult time to help alleviate some of their financial stress so that they can focus on what matters most – their son's health, Drews healing and their overall wellbeing.
Any contribution, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. Your generosity would help them cover medical expenses, lost wages, and other unforeseen costs associated with their son's care. We know that times are tough for everyone, and we are grateful for any support you can offer.
God has already moved mightily in this and we are seeing His hand move in the baby. Your prayers are also coveted.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message and for considering a donation to help Aviyah and Drew during this challenging time.
Sincerely,
The Clawson Family
- UPDATE: Aviyah and Drew met with the head doctors for the week this morning that included the pediatric doctors as well as infectious disease team and the dermatologist team. They all agreed that Cohen is responding well to the antibiotics. He was taken off of the two IV antibiotics plus the fungal medicine and is now only on oral antibiotics. Collectively they agree that sending him home with continued wound care while the cultures are still being monitored is better for him than to continue to be in the hospital as a newborn.
They have a healing journey ahead of them as they are now heading home. Praises and ALL glory be given to our FATHER.
Drew, has her healing road to embark, but this is the first time since the birth they are able to do this together as a new family away from a hospital setting. She's still weak and will be seen tomorrow to check her vitals and to see how she's doing. She's been through a great amount of stress.
Aviyah has been the rock and pillar for this wife and son and with all your contributions they can set aside financial stresses and focus on what is at hand.
Thank you all for your continual prayers for our family and your support. This is TRULY a blessing to them.
Shalom and blessings,
The Clawson Family
