I am doing this for one of my best friends, Miss Catherine “Kitty” Hull, whose bag got stolen from her at our favorite festival Jerry Jam this past weekend. We love Jerry Jam with all our hearts, but we know it only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch of us who are otherwise kind, caring and loving and who would have turned the bag into Lost & Found instead of rifling through it and taking all she had...her whole life. TWO phones (work & personal) hundreds of dollars in cash, her credit cards, her license, everything. To replace all these items is going to take a lot of money which is why I’m doing it for her since I know she won’t do it herself. Below are the words she wrote herself on Facebook..you will see from the way she writes how wise she is and how she will rise above this no matter what!
WHAT YOU STOLE & WHAT YOU DIDN'T: Perhaps the culprit won't read this, but if they do....you stole my &*^%#@ing hand bag. I work hard, 50-60 hours a week and JJ is my vaca I look forward to each year. You took my back breaking, hard earned $250 cash I was planning on spending on the hard working, unique vendors JJ offers - so you also stole from them, too...
You stole my drivers license, my medical cards, my debit cards, my credit cards. And not just my personal phone, which I bought a brand new, huge purchase of $800 (first time ever purchase, I usually get a used one), and it's financed since I can't afford to buy it outright, and I will be making payments on it for the next two years (no insurance). You also stole my company issued phone $650 - so I need to come up with that $$ as well to pay back my company. All in all, I lost well over $2,000. But here's something you didn't steal, you shit bag. Here's something I, and most us have, that you never will...I have dignity and honesty, I sleep well at night, I still have love for my fellow man, I don't hurt people. Even as I work to recover from this huge financial loss, I will still fucking love and help others and today in spite of you, I will still fucking smile. I have the best family and friends, I've had so many friends offer to loan me money, a warm hug, kind words, love, support and help, things you must not know of.... So fuck you, enjoy the money and the rest, because you will never, ever have what I have. You got my stuff,you rolled me, but for the rest of us here, we still win because we know the importance of being a good, decent human. Smile on.
