I'm raising funds for my friend Ollie after a video I posted of him singing his original song, "Kevin Saw a UFO," went viral on TikTok. The response was immediate and heartfelt, and so many people agreed that he should: "Record this." Thousands of people agreed that this song deserved to be captured and shared more widely.

Ollie has always loved singing and playing guitar, but he has mostly performed covers around the dinner table or at local pubs and has never recorded his own music in a studio. He wrote many of these songs when he was 17, and now one of them has reached tens of thousands of people in a way neither of us expected. This song has made people sing along, smile, laugh, and even pick up their instruments again.

This fundraiser will help Ollie record "Kevin Saw a UFO" and a couple of other original songs for his first EP. Donations will go toward studio fees and related recording costs so these songs can finally be recorded and shared beyond a viral video.
