Queridos amigos, colegas y conocidos.

Mi familia cuenta con una fábrica de láminas de fibra de vidrio, la cual ha estado en funciones por más de 20 años; este emprendimiento, fruto del esfuerzo de nuestros padres Don Carlos y Rebeca Muñoz, ha sido el sustento de varias familias y que hace unos días todo se redujo a cenizas.

Si bien los hijos nos hemos podido independizar, haremos todo lo que está en nuestras manos por recuperarlo, incluido este Go Fund me, por el compromiso que tenemos con nuestros padres, nuestros clientes, preservar el legado familiar, y no fallar con nuestra responsabilidad ante nuestros empleados y familia que dependen de Lamext a corto, mediano y largo plazo.

¿Qué pasó?

El 16 de septiembre de este año, a las cinco de la madrugada, recibimos una llamada en donde nos avisaron que la fábrica estaba en llamas. Al llegar al lugar, los cuerpos de protección civil y bomberos habían logrado apagarlas, y, si bien no hubo personas o animales afectados, toda la infraestructura fue pérdida total.

¿Qué se ha logrado?

El mismo 16 de septiembre se rentó un espacio alterno y temporal para reubicar las operaciones y con el capital que se tenía ahorrado, se ha podido comprar lo mínimo indispensable para realizar actividades muy básicas.

Cada uno de nosotros ha brindado apoyo económico e iniciado actividades alternas a nuestros trabajos habituales para aumentar el flujo de dinero, sin embargo, nos hemos visto en el escenario en que a este ritmo, no serán sostenibles ni recuperables las operaciones necesarias, al contrario, será un gasto y desgaste que indique el inicio de un fin que no queremos ni podemos tener.

Dear friends & colleagues

My family owns a fiberglass sheet factory, Lamext, which has been in operation for more than 20 years. This venture, the result of the efforts of our parents Don Carlos and Rebeca Muñoz, has been the livelihood of several families and a few days ago everything was reduced to ashes.

Although the children have been able to become independent, we will do everything in our power to recover it, including this Go Fund me, because of the commitment we have with our parents, our clients, to preserve the family legacy, and not fail in our responsibility to our employees and family who depend on Lamext in the short, medium and long term.

What happened?

On September 16 of this year, at five in the morning, we received a call where we were notified that the factory was on fire. When we arrived at the scene, the civil protection and fire departments had managed to put out the fire, and, although there were no people or animals affected, the entire infrastructure was a total loss.

What has been achieved?

On September 16, an alternate and temporary space was rented to relocate operations and with the capital that was saved, we have been able to buy the minimum essentials to carry out very basic activities.

Each one of us has provided financial support and started activities alternative to our usual jobs to increase the flow of money, however, we have found ourselves in the situation where at this rate, the necessary operations will not be sustainable or recoverable, on the contrary, it will be an expense and wear and tear that indicates the beginning of an end that we do not want or can have.

What do we need?

Raise the floor

Rebuild the wall

Roof our warehouse

Restore a vehicle that suffered the heat of the fire

Acquire the materials and machinery to continue making sheets.

Fortunately, the orders have not been lacking because the money raised through this campaign will go entirely to the reconstruction of Lamext.
