I was diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer, also known as Metastatic Breast Cancer in 2023. The Breasties is one of the first communities that I joined and it has been a safe haven and allowed me to meet so many incredible people.

Each year, The Breasties hosts Reclaim October, a fundraiser dedicated to help those with Stage IV Breast Cancer. This year they are focusing on funding for research, programming, and supports for those with stage IV breast cancer. This includes scholarships to Camp, attending conferences, advocacy opportunities, and more!

For those with breast cancer, especially metastatic breast cancer, October can often feel overwhelming and those with metastatic breast cancer can often get lost in the sea of pink. Reclaim October makes sure that our voices are heard and valued, and that they continue to be.
