Send a Stage 4 Sister to Camp Breasties
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2025 at 36 years old and I found juggling being a mom to two young daughters, and dealing with my diagnosis left me feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and unsure where to turn.
After a double mastectomy, I began chemo in May 2025 and while I was sitting in the chemo chair I saw images from Camp Breasties pop into my feed. The camp looked so joyful that I started to cry and I promised myself that I would be healthy enough to attend the following year.
Then, in June 2026, I fulfilled my promise to attend camp and for the first time since my diagnosis I felt seen, supported, and truly understood by people who had walked the same hard path. That experience gave me strength, joy, and a renewed sense of hope I want to share with others.
The Breasties has built a community that understands the unique challenges survivors, previvors, stage 4 thrivers, and caregivers face. Their peer-to-peer connections, resources, and advocacy create real moments of healing and belonging. After seeing the difference camp made for me, I want to give back by ensuring a woman living with stage 4 breast cancer can attend Camp Breasties in 2027 and experience that same life-changing support.
When someone with stage 4 breast cancer gets to attend camp, they do more than get away for a weekend. They find friends who listen without judgment, learn tools to navigate daily struggles, and gain strength from a community that refuses to let them face cancer alone. Funding a spot at camp means giving time, care, laughter, and a reminder that she matters.
