Somos una familia colombiana que llegó a Estados Unidos con el sueño de salir adelante y vivir en paz. Vinimos buscando una oportunidad, lejos del miedo y la violencia que vivimos en nuestro país tras la pérdida de nuestro padre.

Hace poco, mi hermano de 19 años fue detenido por ICE. Él iba caminando al gimnasio cuando, por miedo, salió corriendo al ver agentes de inmigración. No cometió ningún crimen. Actualmente se encuentra bajo custodia mientras espera su audiencia ante un juez de inmigración.

Mi hermano entró a este país siendo menor de edad. Es un joven trabajador, respetuoso y con deseos de superarse. Nunca ha representado un peligro para la comunidad. Sin una defensa legal adecuada, corre el riesgo de perder la oportunidad de permanecer en este país junto a su familia.

Estamos recaudando fondos exclusivamente para pagar un abogado de inmigración que pueda representarlo, solicitar fianza si es posible y defender su caso ante el juez. Los costos legales son muy altos y nuestra familia no cuenta con los recursos necesarios para enfrentarlos sola.

Help Us Pay for an Immigration Attorney

We are a Colombian family who came to the United States with the dream of building a better and more peaceful future. We came seeking opportunity and safety after experiencing violence and the loss of our father in our home country.

Recently, my 19-year-old brother was detained by ICE. He was walking to the gym when, out of fear, he ran after seeing immigration agents. He did not commit any crime. He is currently in ICE custody while waiting for his immigration court hearing.

My brother entered the United States as a minor. He is a hardworking, respectful young man with dreams of a better life. He has never been a danger to the community. Without proper legal representation, he risks losing his opportunity to remain in this country with his family.

We are raising funds solely to pay for an immigration attorney who can represent him, request bond if possible, and defend his case before the immigration judge. Legal fees are very high, and our family does not have the financial means to face them alone.
