Our fight for justice

We are Rebuild Trust, we calling for a public inquiry into Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (TEWV Trust). The reason behind this is to raise awareness of the death of my daughter, Christie Harnett in June 2019 whilst she was an inpatient in a CAMHS hospital run by TEWV Trust. Besides Christie losing her life; just six weeks later, another young woman, Nadia Sharif also died in the same hospital. Six months after Nadia died, another young woman, Emily Moore died in a TEWV Trust’s hospital.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) rated the Hospital as Inadequate in August 2019, it was closed to admissions and subsequently closed totally.
Families have been complaining about the Mental Health services provided by TEWV Trust for many years and nothing has changed.
NHS England have commissioned an independent inquiry into the deaths of these young women and as families of the 3 young women, we are calling for this public inquiry to stop others suffering as we have and to hopefully drive change in Mental Health services nationally.
The independent investigation into the deaths is now complete and has found that TEWV are to blame for the deaths.
