Rebuild O'Fallon Veterans' Monument

On Monday, May 11, 2015 it was discovered by O'Fallon City Employees that two large granite panels that bear the names of local US Military Men and Women had been destroyed.

The cost to replace the two tablets and engraved names on each tablet is estimated to be over $10,000.

This GOFUNDME site has been started to raise $10,000 to pay for the $5,000 deductible and to establish a fund that can be administered by the O'Fallon Veterans' Monument Committee for any future needs.


The Monument is  beautiful 15 pillar star-shaped O'Fallon Veterans' Monument in O'Fallon, Illinois that was dedicated on May 29, 2006.

It was the result of a community wide effort that included individuals, businesses and commuinty organizations who selflessy raised the funds and build the tribute to O'Fallon Veterans who have served our country. 

It is located off of North Seven Hills Road on the south
side of East Wesley Drive, just northwest of the O'Fallon Safety Center (Police Station) and the O'Fallon
YMCA. The street address is 737 E. Wesley Drive.


Since the destruction of the tablets occured, there has been an overwhelming response by the O'Fallon Community asking how they can help to rebuild this tribute to our veterans.

After meeting with the Veterans' Monument Committee on Tuesday, May 12th, the Spengler Family led by Syd and Jason, began this gofundme drive to allow everyone in O'Fallon an opportunity to help rebuild the Monument.
In addition, Red Wristbands are being printed with the words "Allegiance, Democracy, Unity and Patriotism," which are the words that appeared on the 4 panels that were destroyed.  

These bands will be available for purchase for $2 beginning Friday, May 15th through local organizations and businesses.  100% of the proceeds will go to the Veteran's Committee.
