Rebuilding stronger after the recent Arson Attack

Saturday night 04th October 2025, Peacehaven Mosque was deliberately set on fire - a targeted arson attack confirmed by Sussex Police.

Two masked men came in the night, set the front of the mosque on fire, and walked off.

The fire spread to the building - scorching the walls and destroying a car by the front door completely.

Inside, our elderly chairman was present. Alhamdulillah, he survived.

Let’s be clear - this wasn’t random. It was a planned attack with intent to harm.

But we’re not responding with anger or division.

We’re responding with unity, sabr, and action.

Peacehaven Mosque has always been a small community with a big heart.

We’ve built community here - youth activities, classes, community events - all run by volunteers who care about this town.

We’ve never had issues with anyone, and we won’t start now.

This was a test, and we’ll rise from it.

Our goal now is simple: rebuild stronger, safer, and more secure - for everyone who calls this place home.
