To our amazing community,

Words cannot fully express the emotions we are feeling right now. On May 19th, just after midnight, the unimaginable happened. A devastating fire swept through our Main Street home, changing everything in an instant for Jimmy, Rose, Yvana, Daniel, Stephanie, Max, Tien, and Chi. Above all else, we are incredibly grateful to share that no one was physically hurt.

While the horror and fear of that night will stay with us for a long time, the incredible outpouring of love, messages, hugs, and tears from our Uptown Lexington neighbors has given us the strength to keep moving forward. We are profoundly grateful for every single one of you.

Our hearts are also completely broken for our Main Street neighbors who faced the flames alongside us. We are grieving deeply for our dear friends at The Candy Factory, Wynn and Annette Conrad have also suffered a total loss. While Bagels and More and Main Street Deli were thankfully saved from the flames, they both sustained significant damage. This is a devastating blow to the very heart of our uptown community, and we ask that you keep all of these businesses and families in your thoughts; please also support them as they navigate this mountain.

As a family of eight, spanning three generation and three households, we have been blessed to work side-by-side for 25 years. Right now, we are facing an immense emotional and financial loss. But this tragedy extends far beyond just our immediate family. We ask that you also keep our incredible employees in your minds and hearts. Some of them have worked with us for over 10 years and are deeply affected by this sudden loss of livelihood.

While we have a fantastic insurance team working closely with us, we know that reports, permits, and official processes take a great deal of time and patience. We have set up this GoFundMe to help our family make ends meet, support our team, cover immediate expenses, and keep our footing while we connect the dots and get the ball rolling toward recovery.
