On April 21, 2026, our dear friend Sarah Oh and her family experienced an unimaginable tragedy—a fire destroyed their home and everything inside. While we are incredibly grateful that they made it out safely, they have lost nearly all of their belongings and are now facing the overwhelming task of starting over.
Sarah is a dedicated nurse who has spent her career caring for others. At home, she is devoted mother who has been raising her son with incredible strength and resilience after losing her husband to a sudden cardiovascular event in 2014. In addition to caring for her son, she also opened her home to her parents, creating a close-knit, multigenerational household filled with love and support.
In a matter of hours, that home—and everything in it—was gone.
They are now navigating the immediate needs of daily life while beginning the long and difficult process of rebuilding. We are raising funds to help support them during this incredibly challenging time. Donations will go toward:
- Immediate essentials (clothing, shoes, toiletries, medications, food for Sarah, her son, and her parents who lived in the home)
- Temporary housing and living expenses: hotel stays or short-term rental, food, transportation, and other day-to-day expenses while displaced
- Replacing basic household items for all members of the family
- Supporting them as they begin the rebuilding process
- Recovery and rebuilding support: expenses not fully covered by insurance, including deductibles, gaps in coverage, and costs associated with transitioning to longer-term housing
Sarah and her family have always been someone who shows up for others with kindness and generosity. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her and her family.
Any amount, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help us reach others.
Thank you for your compassion and support during this incredibly difficult time.
