On January 10th, during the major wind and rain storms Mama Jan and Dominic had a massive tree crash into their home. The tree fell right into Dominic’s room. By the Grace of God Dominic and Mom are safe because the angels guided Dominic to her bedroom about 1hr before. Since this happened while it was raining hard, the entire room now has significant water damage on top of the damage from the tree falling through the room and wiping out everything in its path. A complete assessment of damage is in progress.

Unfortunately, during the next round of storms on January 16th in the evening another tree fell and took out a large portion of her front porch and wiped out the power lines and electrical box going to her house so now she is without power on top of it all. Thankfully the tree just barely missed her car in the driveway.

Mama Jan is working with her home insurance and local contractors to coordinate getting her house rebuilt, to have all the tree debris and water removed, and to receive emergency housing and living accommodations. She and Dominic have now been displaced from their home until further notice and until her house can be deemed safe to live in again.

Let’s rally behind them and help them get through the next several weeks and months ahead. They need help meeting the insurance deductible, replacing valuables that insurance will not cover, and general living expenses while they are displaced.
