A New Chapter: Rebuilding Hope: Scholarships & Assistance for Jamaica
What began as a fundraiser to help families in Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa has grown into an ongoing commitment to supporting students and others in need. To reflect this new chapter, we have changed the name of our GoFundMe to Rebuilding Hope: Scholarships & Assistance for Jamaica.
Our primary focus is supporting students through scholarships and education assistance, including help with school fees, uniforms, books, transportation, and lunches. We will also continue providing assistance unrelated to education, helping individuals and families facing hardship with basic needs and unexpected difficulties as funds allow.
My family and I make monthly donations to sustain this work, alongside generous contributions from friends who believe in this worthy cause. This shared commitment allows us to invest in students’ futures while extending a helping hand to others during challenging times.
Education has always been close to our hearts, as has caring for those in need. We want students to know that their dreams matter and individuals and families facing hardship to know that they are not forgotten.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared our fundraiser, or offered encouragement along the way. Your continued generosity helps us provide scholarships, education assistance, and support beyond the classroom. Every donation and every share helps us continue rebuilding hope in Jamaica.
With heartfelt gratitude,
