Rebuilding Hope in Hot Springs Post-Hurricane

I’ve had the honor to serve the communities of WNC in two roles over the last 3 weeks in the response to Hurricane Helene. One of those roles is my current position as the NG Liaison Officer for the town of Hot Springs in Madison County. I have seen destruction like I’ve never imagined…It has been both eye opening and heart breaking to see what we’ve seen. But the love and sense of community that has poured into these counties outshines it all. These missions are what solidified my decision to join the National Guard.

The men and women I serve with have been blessed to meet the community of Hot Springs and they have been so gracious to take care of us whilst in their town. My hope for this fundraiser is to help give back small portion of what they have given us. Lodging, food, entertainment, they have gone above and beyond to accommodate us while on mission.

These people and communities are what solidifies my hope in the American spirit. Please don’t forget about WNC/ETN. Continue to pray, continue to donate, continue to help where you can. Much love.
