Rebuilding Hope: Help Tamer Start Again

I am raising funds on behalf of Tamer Qalja whom I had the pleasure of working with during my medical mission to Gaza, Please take the time to read his story ;

My name is Tamer Khaled Salem Qalja, and I work as an anesthesia and resuscitation specialist in Gaza. I hold a specialized diploma in anesthesia and intensive care from the University College of Applied Sciences, and I have served in hospitals including the Al-Ahli Arab Baptist Hospital as a volunteer. Throughout my career, I’ve had the honor of helping save hundreds of lives and providing critical care in some of the most challenging and dangerous conditions imaginable.

However, the recent war on Gaza has turned my life upside down.

Our home in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood was completely destroyed. I lost all of my personal belongings and professional equipment. I am married with a 10 month old baby boy and also support my extended family, including my parents and four siblings. We are now living under extremely harsh and unstable conditions, with little access to basic necessities and under ongoing threat.

Despite the devastation, I remain committed to serving my community as an anesthesia and resuscitation specialist whenever and wherever I can. But I am now facing circumstances beyond anything I’ve experienced before.

It has never been easy for me to ask for help. I’ve always taken pride in being self-reliant and in supporting others. But at this point, I have almost no other option.
