Hi! My name is Yuliia Horiunova. I am a Singer from Ukraine, and I came here  to the United States after the war started. My family and I lost everything; our homes were destroyed, and our cities have been bombed. This is the reality all Ukrainians live right now. My mom and granny have been staying in Ukraine since the beginning of the war. I couldn't bring them with me. Mom and Grandma are Ukrainian relocated refugees. Grandma spent first 6 months of war under Russian occupation and constant missiles strikes….After my family lost their homes, and when we finally rescued grandma, mom found an abandoned, partially destroyed house at remote and relatively safe area in Ukraine, and she and granny moved there. They’ve been rebuilding the house constantly so they could stay there warm and safe. The support they get in Ukraine is around 150$ per month. It’s hard to survive and to support each other, but they never complain. Watching their resilience, strength, and will for life every day while drones and missiles are flying over their heads, gives me strength and courage here to continue building the new life no matter how hard it is. I miss them so much.

The fire around a week ago jumped from the neighbors’ property and destroyed our backyard, roof, and windows in the house, multiple backyard buildings, including  restroom, shower, and fence. It is a heartbreaking tragedy, and we do not have a choice but to ask for your help! I’m raising money for mom and granny so they can recover the house and the property from the fire as soon as possible. It is winter there, they have power outages all the time because of Russian strikes on our Power Infrastructure. They don’t have any support. On the top of that, the water in pipes froze because of the fire damage and as a consequence, there is no drinking ( or any) water there in their house. My mom melts snow every day, so they can wash themselves…. It is very cold now  in Ukraine.  With no heat, damaged from fire roof, and cracked windows, only God knows what they’re going through. This is their only shelter, and they do not have anywhere else to go. My grandma is 82 years old, and she has arthritis, the last stage. She doesn’t have medical help, and it’s very hard for her to move. My mom is 60 this month. She’s been trying to support my granny, and she also shelters 5 stray dogs: 2 boys and 3 girls. Four of them are very big-sized dogs. Mom has a good heart and she just can not to note save animals from the street when it’s  -20F… She can’t let them die from cold. Both, mom and granny, they have very kind hearts and they always help everyone around. Kindness and compassion - these traits I got from them. It’s essential for us to rebuild a fence so the dogs can run safely on our property. My family doesn’t have transportation. The situation is very hard. I came here in US all alone, and I’m trying to build my life here so I can help my family survive there. They need help now, and it breaks my heart seeing their suffering. I’m asking for your help and support, with hope in my heart, so that we can help my family as soon as possible and they can recover the house from fire damage and stay warm. God bless everyone.

The money will be spent for the roof recovery, replacement for windows, recovering house damages, rebuilding restroom and shower, rebuilding the storage house that has been destroyed, making a new backyard fence, clearing the debris from fire, and financial support for my mom and granny, covering all essential needs due to this hardship.
