Rebuilding Hope for Ramiro and Teodora

Hello everyone,

As you might know, my grandparents' home was engulfed in flames on Saturday, January 11th. The house is completely unlivable. The roof was burned down, and the water from the firefighters flooded the house and has destroyed its structural integrity. My grandparents, Ramiro Padilla and Teodora Padilla, are good people. They have lost their home and are homeless now during this cold Texas winter. They have a place to live for now, but they have lost everything, from important documents to everyday socks. The smoke has ruined the clothes that were salvaged from the fire. We still do not know the cause of the fire, but my grandparents are okay. This is a traumatic experience that they didn't choose but were ultimately forced to face. If you know my grandparents, you know how kind they are and how much they give back to the community. Anything helps at the moment. We are still salvaging as much as we can and are hoping to rebuild if possible. Thank you so much.

Como sabrás, la casa de mis abuelos se envolvió en llamas el sábado 11 de enero. La casa es completamente inhabitable. El techo se quemó y el agua de los bomberos inundó la casa y ha destruido su integridad estructural. Mis abuelos, Ramiro Padilla y Teodora Padilla, son buenas personas. Han perdido su hogar y están sin hogar ahora durante este frío invierno de Texas. Tienen un lugar donde vivir por ahora, pero lo han perdido todo, desde documentos importantes hasta calcetines cotidianos. El humo ha arruinado la ropa que fue rescatada del incendio. Todavía no sabemos la causa del incendio, pero mis abuelos están bien. Esta es una experiencia traumática que no tuvieron, pero que finalmente se vieron obligados a enfrentar. Si conoces a mis abuelos, sabes lo amables que son y lo mucho que devuelven a la comunidad. Cualquier cosa ayuda en este momento.
