Our family is asking for your help as our aunt and uncle face an unimaginable loss.

Their home in Arkansas was recently destroyed by a fire caused by a lightning strike. Tragically, they have also discovered that their homeowners insurance had lapsed as of 8/7/26 after paying monthly for 13 years since owning the home. They were mourning the death of my aunt’s Mom four months ago and the home insurance payment fell through the cracks.

Our uncle came to the United States as a first-generation immigrant and worked incredibly hard to build a life for his family. Through years of hard work, sacrifice, and saving, he and my aunt were finally able to purchase a home for them—a place they could call their own.

In one devastating moment, they lost the home they worked so hard to build, along with their belongings and many of the things that made it their home.

They also have no immediate family in Arkansas to turn to during this incredibly difficult time. Being away from their family and support system makes this loss even more difficult, as they now have to navigate the overwhelming process of finding temporary housing, replacing necessities, and figuring out what comes next.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help our aunt and uncle with the enormous costs of rebuilding their lives, including temporary housing, clothing, food, essential belongings, and eventually finding a way to rebuild or replace their home.

Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean so much to our family during this difficult time. If you’re unable to donate, we completely understand. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers and consider sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family.

We know that times are difficult for many people, and we are truly grateful for any support you can offer. Your kindness and generosity will help give them hope as they begin the long journey of rebuilding their lives.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your prayers, kindness, support, and generosity.
