Hi, my name is Kelly, and I’m raising funds to provide sheds and storage buildings for families in Green Mountain, NC — a small, rural community hit hard by the recent hurricane aftermath. While the devastation stretches across much of Western North Carolina, we’re focusing our efforts on this one area for now, where the need is immediate and (now) personal.

What I’ve seen in Green Mountain is heartbreaking — homes destroyed, families displaced, and entire lives turned upside down. But what moved me most was the resilience of the people I met. Despite losing nearly everything, many are choosing to stay — determined to rebuild their homes and their lives from the ground up.

The community has begun receiving generous donations of lumber, tools, and furniture — but there’s a critical issue: they have no safe place to store these materials. Without secure, weatherproof storage, these vital supplies are at risk of being ruined or stolen, and the already difficult rebuilding process becomes even harder.

That’s why I’ve set a goal to raise $50,000 to provide sheds and small portable storage buildings for at least 10 families I met personally. These structures will offer them a protected space to keep their materials and belongings safe — allowing them to keep moving forward, one step at a time.

These families don’t need a handout — they need a place to store the hope they’ve been given. Let’s come alongside them in this critical moment and help make rebuilding possible.
