Rebuilding Home for Kenzy and Daughter After Flood

Donation protected
Hi everyone, it’s Kenzy. If you don’t know me personally (yet), I am a single mom from Clear Lake, WA in Skagit County.

I never imagined needing to do this, but after sudden and historical flooding, my entire apartment was destroyed. The damage left my child and I without a home and most of our belongings lost.

I am a single mom to a wonderful 4-year-old who has a developmental disability, and stability is incredibly important for her. I work in child welfare and spend my days supporting social workers and families through crisis. Right now, I’m doing my best to navigate one of my own.

In Washington State, average rent in my county is over $1,900 per month, and securing housing typically requires first and last month’s rent plus a deposit. Beyond housing, we need to replace essential furniture, household items, and everyday necessities that were destroyed in the flood.

This fundraiser is to help us rebuild a safe, stable home and move forward. Any support, whether donating, sharing, or simply keeping us in your thoughts means more than I can express. Thank you for taking the time to read and for being part of our path forward.

With gratitude,
Kenzy
