Let's Help Faviana and Her Family Rebuild Their Lives after the Fire
On December 22, 2025, Faviana and her family—her mother, two younger siblings (ages 9 and 12), and her grandparents—were victims of a devastating fire while they were inside their home on the third floor of the San Blas 1 neighborhood. This can be seen in one of the videos shared on social media:
Unable to withstand the intense heat, thick smoke, lack of visibility, and severe difficulty breathing, Faviana and her boyfriend made the heartbreaking decision to jump from a height of over 10 meters as a desperate instinct to survive.
As a result of the fall, Faviana suffered fractures in both ankles, a dislocated hip, and injuries to six discs in her spine. She is currently bedridden and unable to move.
Her recovery will require surgery on both ankles, followed by rehabilitation, physical and psychological therapy, and a long period of rest. This treatment is essential for her to regain mobility, overcome this traumatic experience, continue her university studies, and eventually return to work and pursue her personal and professional goals.
As a result of the fire, the family lost their home, all of their belongings, and basic household items. At this moment, they have nowhere to live and are temporarily staying with neighbors who have kindly offered their support.
We are asking for help primarily to cover Faviana’s medical expenses and to support her surviving family members. Tragically, her grandfather passed away the day after the incident due to severe burns. The family also needs assistance to rent a place to live while they stabilize their income and, if possible, begin the process of rebuilding their home.
Additionally, since the fire caused a total loss of material belongings, part of the funds will be used to purchase essential household items such as clothing, mattresses, a refrigerator, a stove, and other basic necessities they no longer have.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in the well-being of Faviana and her family. Above all, they are grateful to God for the chance to have survived this tragedy—one that, with your help, they can overcome.
Many blessings, and THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.
