On February 21, 2026 my father-in-law David Jackson’s house caught fire and burned to the ground. David was not home at the time and is okay, but unfortunately his sweet dog Buster did not make it out. We’ve only been able to recover a few photographs and keepsakes at this time - the rest is gone. We are still working with the authorities to determine the cause, and appreciate everyone’s concerns and well wishes.

We’re now working to rebuild David’s life, and have a long road ahead of us in terms of replacing his essentials, legal fees, housing assistance, and everything else that comes along with starting from scratch. We’ve received outreach from family and friends who are looking for a place to assist, so created this GoFundMe as a means to support David during this difficult moment in his life.
