Hi everyone,
We are setting up this page to ask for a bit of help for our 88-year-old uncle, Charles.
Recently, an overnight fire completely destroyed his allotment, wiping out his sheds, tools, and years of hard work.
This plot has always been incredibly important to Charles, but even more so lately. He recently underwent surgery to remove a kidney following a cancer diagnosis, and his wife is currently living with dementia. With everything he’s been managing at home and health-wise, the allotment has been his absolute happy place—a quiet space to get outside, clear his head, and find a bit of peace.
To lose it all so suddenly has been a massive blow. At 88, clearing the wreckage and replacing everything on his own is just too much of a challenge.
Charles isn't one to ask for help, so we are stepping in to try and get his happy place back up and running. We are hoping to raise some funds to cover:
Clearing away the fire debris.
Rebuilding a basic shed.
Replacing essential gardening tools and plants.
If you’re able to contribute a small amount to help him get started again, it would mean the world to him. If you aren't able to donate, sharing this link with others would be a massive help too.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any support you can give.
