My name is Garcian, and I’m raising funds to help my family and the people of Alps, Jamaica, after the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa.

This small, close-knit farming community has lost nearly everything. Homes were torn apart, and many are now without roofs. Crops and animals, which families depend on for food and income, are gone. People are struggling to find the basics: shelter, clothing, and food. Even the historic church, a symbol of faith and unity, lost its roof.

This close-knit village, known for its love, unity, and hard work, now faces the difficult task of rebuilding from the ground up. I am raising funds to help families restore their homes, replace essential items like beds and clothing, and rebuild the historic community church, which lost its roof during the hurricane.

Alps is more than a village to me; it’s my heart, my family, and the place that taught me what love, faith, and community truly mean. These are hardworking, humble people who give even when they have little. Now they need us.
