Last week, my parents, brother, and adopted niece experienced a devastating house fire that took nearly all of their personal belongings. Anything not destroyed by the fire or smoke was damaged by soot or water. In a matter of moments, so much of what they called home was lost.

I’ve been able to get them settled into a rental so they have a safe place to stay, but they are now having to start over with only the bare essentials. My girls also lost many special items that were kept at their grandma’s home.

As we approach the holidays, several friends and family members have reached out asking how they can help. At this time, any support in helping them rebuild and get back on their feet would mean more than words can express.
