Edit: We found out the insurance will not be covering the costs of the fire. The reason for this is because although they are the ones who lived in the house, the house was in someone else's name. Unfortunately, instead of telling my BIL that he didn't have the money for the insurance the person skipped multiple monthly payments which made the insurance overlap.

Good morning, everyone. My name is Raeleen. I am making a gofundme for my sister, my brother-in-law, and their kids. Sadly, their house caught fire Monday evening while my BIL was making dinner for the both of them. She went to take a nap and he wanted to surprise her with dinner made when she woke up. He had a medical emergency and passed out while dinner was on the stove. Their dog was able to wake my sister but it was unfortunately to late as the flames were to big to put out. My sister was able to drag her husband out of the house. Sadly, my BIL does have second degree burns on his arms, legs, back, and abdomen. She was able to shield his head and torso while getting him out of the house. Tragically, the house and everything inside is a total loss. Unfortunately both the dog and cat perished in the fire. I did speak to my sister before starting the gofundme and she gave me the ok. They do not know when the insurance will cover the costs because of it being a medical emergency that started the fire.
