(We've) spent the last 8 years navigating housing insecurity in one of the most expensive cities in the world.

Re-purposing: 

This fundraiser is now focused on supporting a safe and intentional relocation for Olive and me so we can rebuild our lives outside of a system that has repeatedly failed us. 

 We have been navigating homelessness, housing instability, discrimination and legal barriers and blatant corruption in the same place for years with no durable resolution. 

Continuing to pour limited resources into a system that has not protected us is no longer sustainable. 

Relocation is not an escape. It is a strategic reset. 

The goal is to relocate to a country where the cost of living is lower, safety is higher, schooling is accessible, and where we can establish stable housing and income without constant crisis. 

 Your support will help us move toward long-term stability instead of remaining trapped in survival mode.

This decision has been forming over years, not days. We have exhausted local options. We have complied, appealed, documented, advocated, and waited. Each cycle has led back to instability. 

Staying has not created safety. It has compounded harm. Relocating will allow us to: 

• reduce monthly living costs immediately 

• access safer environments 

• secure housing without impossible income thresholds 

• enroll Olive in consistent schooling 

• rebuild without constant legal and financial emergencies 

 This is a proactive choice rooted in pattern recognition and self-preservation, not fear or avoidance.

• Flights for two: $1,800 to $3,000 

• Initial visa or residency fees: $1,000 to $3,000 

• Storage, disposal, transition costs: $1,500 Housing Setup 

 • First month rent: $800 to $1,500 

• Security deposit: $800 to $1,500 

• Furnishings and basics: $1,200 Living Runway (6 months)
