On Sunday morning, May 10, I experienced a devastating apartment fire that displaced my sons and me and resulted in the loss of most of our belongings. I am beyond grateful that my boys were not home and I was able to make it out, but the fire left us without a home, clothing, everyday essentials, and many irreplaceable personal items. I also sustained minor burns during the incident and am currently focusing on caring for myself and my children while trying to rebuild from this unexpected tragedy.

Unfortunately, my apartment complex does not have any open units to place us, so at this time, we do not have any long-term housing assistance or relocation support. I am doing everything I can to find a safe place to stay and replace necessities for the boys and myself.
