My name is Chrissy, and I am reaching out today with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for help. Just days ago, Hurricane Melissa tore through Jamaica, leaving a path of utter destruction in its wake. The place my family has always called home—a place filled with a lifetime of memories—is now gone.
The photos and videos they've been able to send are heartbreaking. Where there was once a roof over their heads, there is now sky. Where there were walls, there is debris. They have lost everything—not just their possessions, but their safety, their security, and their sanctuary. They are currently without reliable shelter, clean water, and sufficient food, relying on the kindness of neighbors who have also suffered immense loss.
Seeing my family in this situation, feeling their fear and uncertainty from afar, is a pain I cannot fully describe. They are resilient people, but this disaster has left them utterly vulnerable.
I have created this fundraiser with a clear and urgent goal: to provide my family with immediate relief for safe shelter, food, clean water, and medical supplies, and to begin the long, difficult process of rebuilding what was lost.
Any contribution you can make, no matter how small, will be a lifeline for them. It will be a message that they are not forgotten in this crisis. Please, if you are able, help me give my family the emergency support they so desperately need. If you cannot donate, I beg you to share this message with others.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your compassion, your prayers, and your support during this devastating time.
