Rebuilding After Kentucky Flood Takes All

Hi, my name is Sarah Wyzomirski, and I am Fundraising for my brother (Marc), his Fiance (Amber) and her immediate family members (Mother and two brothers).

In the early morning hours of July 28th, 2022, my brother, his fiancé, and her family lost everything they owned in the world to a sudden, severe flash flood. The home they shared was quickly engulfed by vicious currents, lifting it from its foundation with Amber’s family (mother, two brothers) and beloved pets inside. They were beyond horrified as they watched this unfold, sure that they had witnessed their last moments. Miraculously though, the house remained intact enough that its occupants, pets included, survived after it came to rest against a neighbor’s home about 300-400 ft down the road from them. The house is a total loss, as are all of their possessions. This all comes hot on the heels of Amber’s mother having had major abdominal surgery one week prior and overcoming a severe infection (which she is now at risk of developing again due to being exposed to flood waters with fresh incisions). The road to recovery and rebuilding stretches out before them, lengthy and arduous, but they're elated that they are alive to undertake it at all.

As such, I'm requesting funds to cover basic necessities for the family, such as adequate housing costs, transportation (they also watched as their cars were swallowed up and swept away), and food for a family of 5 humans and numerous animal companions.
