My name is Gonzalo — many of you know me as Gonza or Gonzi. This year, 2025, has been one of the toughest of my life. I found myself in a very difficult and unexpected legal situation after an unfortunate conflict with someone I trusted. What followed has been incredibly traumatic: being arrested, feeling harassed, and eventually having to face proceedings in the Supreme Court.

The legal journey has taken a heavy emotional, mental, and financial toll on me. Throughout the process, I’ve had to cover significant costs for lawyers, legal support, and psychiatric care. I’ve been working tirelessly to manage everything on my own, but the expenses have become overwhelming.

Although the outcome of my case was ultimately fair and recognised that I was not guilty, the damage—emotionally, mentally, and financially—has already been done. That’s why I’m reaching out for support from my family, close friends, and anyone who can empathise with what I’ve been through.

I still need to cover a significant court-related fine and the remaining expenses from this long process. Even though I was cleared, the financial impact of the situation didn’t disappear. I’ve never asked for help like this before, but I’ve come to accept that I can’t rebuild on my own and that reaching out might make a real difference.

Living in Sydney is already expensive, and while I normally manage on my own, it has been incredibly difficult with the unexpected costs I’m now facing. Any donation—big or small—would truly mean the world to me and help me move forward from this chapter.
