Rebuilding Braeburn Elementary

My name is Paulette Powell and I am a former Assistant Principal from Braeburn Elementary in Houston TX. This campus and our community were severely affected by Hurricane Harvey. Our goal is to raise funds to help this amazing school replace damaged school suplies. 


Love, serve, care, I believe these three values really embody what our Braeburn Community is all about! A couple of days ago we learned that Braeburn Elementary won't be reopening this year due to the aftermath of hurricane Harvey. Instead, the campus will be relocated to DeBakey High School in the medical center. While this is a true blessing, the news is devastating to all but especially our babies and their families who for years have  thought of Braeburn as a second home and a safe haven. At this point no one is allowed in the building which means that all those beautifully decorated classrooms along with all the teaching materials will have to be left behind as the new transition begins. Teachers who for years have collected endless resources are forced to start from scratch. With so much devastation and change, these amazing teachers are trying to rebuild their classrooms so our babies can have some normalcy back into their lives. Your donations will go directly to our Braeburn teachers so they can continue to purchase classroom supplies and other teaching resources.
